Josh and Avery
We didn't meet Josh and Avery until the morning of their wedding. On the drive to Charlotte, I wondered what kind of wedding it would be and what they would be like. I try to do engagement sessions with all my clients and at the very least meet up for coffee, but this time we were showing up and going for it. Little did I know that I had nothing to worry about. Avery and Josh are some of the nicest, laid back people you will meet, and their wedding echoed that. The venue that they chose was this sunny ranch home situated between the woods and small pond, with grazing cows freckling the background. Around every corner there were vintage chairs, brick walls and creaky wood floors begging to be photographed. When we got to their couple portraits, they pretty much forgot about the two people with the cameras and just spent time with each other. The best part was their willingness to take advantage of golden hour. Half way through the reception we snuck out for no more than ten minutes, and we walked out by the pond. The soft light and their sweet friendship pictured in those ten minutes is a highlight of this wedding season.
These two and their amazing families' made us feel more like friends than photographers, and we are so glad we got to be a part of this day.
Also, a BIG thanks to all these amazing vendors who did all this:
