I had such a great time with Alison and Kevin the other week. They are a perfect example of all of us out there who might not love taking pictures or who have ever done it before but who absolutely kill it! I always encourage my couples to make their sessions into a date. Start at your favorite bar or coffee joint and go from there. So we started at a pub in the heart of downtown Durham and walked our way through alley-ways, parking decks, and doorways. We broke a couple of rules (may have ignored a couple of signs) and laughed a whole lot.

I got to hear all about their favorite date nights which included legos (which in my mind sounds like a great time) and how they played keep away for their first few weeks of dating. Getting to know my clients is such a rich part of this job. Each of you express and communicate your love in such a unique way and it’s so much fun to capture.
