Emmy and JM
Emmy and JM got married on a flower farm just outside of the bride's hometown of Durham, NC. The couple's goal was to celebrate the natural beauty of the landscape and create a relaxed dinner-party vibe for their 130 guests. The bride and groom paid homage to the farm through details like enamel floral pins and a tiny bumble bee in the bride's hair, and pops of oxblood and blush florals in the bridesmaid dresses and groom's party ties.
Under the canopy of towering trees, the couple's friend officiated a custom ceremony and Emmy and JM exchanged their self-written vows. Cocktail hour on the lawn was accompanied by string covers of the couple's favorite pop songs and a medley of their favorite Southern delicacies - mini shrimp 'n' grits, fried green tomatoes, and pulled pork sliders.
The party then retreated to the barn for a candlelit family-style dinner amid foraged greenery and cut blooms from the farm. With the champagne clink of the final toast, the live band fired up and the dance party commenced. The only break being for MORE dancing–Greek dancing–with all 130 guests coiling around the barn, linked hand-in-hand.
