Emma and Addison
It was a gorgeous day, and one of the cooler ones of August. We began the morning with a first look at the NC State JC Raulston Arboretum. It was a perfect spot for this, and Addison and Emma opted to get most of their photos done in the cooler hours of the day before the wedding day really started.
We selected the arch way in the white garden as their first meeting. I loved how the structure framed her approach. It was such a magical moment. After their photos, we hung out with their wedding party and their families, snapped some pictures, and headed to the church.
The ceremony was a new experience for me. I had never witnessed an traditional Orthodox wedding ceremony. The liturgical words and songs were beautiful, and it was so neat to learn about the historical and theological context for each part of their ceremony.
From the ceremony, the bridal party took a trolly to Market Hall, where we snapped a few more photos of Addison and Emma and jumped right into the ceremony, and the party began. Emma and Addison were so intentional to speak with every guest at each table, and when the dancing began they sought out almost everyone to join them on the dance floor. These fun-loving love birds had a lovely wedding, and I'm so glad I got to capture it!
